Today unravelled well :)
Spent the whole day from 2-7 in church.
Met tons and tons of awesome sisters who were really easy
to bond with, so that felt good. No awkward moments at all.
There was dinner in church after youth class and oh the food was
YUMMMY. I LOVE CHINESE FOOD.
Lol. Sorry but I've just had too much western food.
Wait till I move to my own place then I'm cooking chinese food!

Went over to Lyd's place after everything ended!
Oh I've missed my dear cousin so so much!
Went snooping around hers and David's rooms in the house
and stared at her boxer dog from a distance,
(while everyone else was playing with the dog)
Lol. Dogs just aren't my type, especially jumpy ones O_O

Vic market and shopping tomorrow!
So far have spent lets see, $90 aussie on an outfit and accessories?
blaaaah. I want to work soon!

2nd day in Melbourne.
Yes, I'm still sticking to my impression of Melbourne: BROWN.

Ventured around with mom and bro today.
1 day tram ticket costs $6.80 = DAMN EX.
After settling down and finding a place, I'm definitely gonna buy
a bicycle to get places which would save lots and lots of $$!

Went to my uni's campus to inquire a few stuff.
Oh I'm getting excited as time goes by. SO EXCITED.
Tomorrow, registration at 1pm :) Orientation, 2nd of Feb!

It's gonna be awesome, yet scary, yet great! CANT WAIT!!

Went to bro's campus too. Man, Melb Uni students are spoilt!
The facilities there are so good, it's like there's a shopping centre
there or something!

Anyway, just watched Wicker Park, a sad love story :S

And I've FINALLY arrived in Melbourne.
First impression of Melbourne? It's so brown!

The trip was extremely extremely exhausting.
Pretty dramatic and the rest of it, just God's blessing.
Let's see, where should I begin?

Okay, from KK side, my luggage was overweight by 6kg.
For every excess kg, there's a charge of RM 73 per kg.
Which meant, mom had to pay about RM438? CRAZY O.O
So I called dad to come pick up the excess luggage but then,
the lady changed her mind and said she won't charge us!
(Truly God's grace)

Well, I had like 14kg worth of stuff on me, hand carried!
I was pretty worried they'd like stop me and weigh my stuff
cause the limit's actually 7kg. But wow, by God's grace again,
no one checked and they just let me passed by. Everyone was just
so nice and friendly! :)

Arrived in Singapore in Terminal 2 and killed time by going to
the airport's cinema, surfing the net, playing PS3 and xbox games,
did Chinese origami folding and key chain knotting, and ate!
Well, went to a bookstore and bought a few postcards to post to friends.
Was walking on the way to the post office when something prompted
me to look at my watch. O.O My heart almost fell to the ground.

5 minutes to 9. My flight was at 9. I had missed my flight.
The worst thing was that the next flight (which was my mom's flight
since my flight was over booked), was also fully fully overbooked by
like 20+ people pending to board that flight. And we were in the wrong
terminal! We frantically caught the sky train and inquired whether I
could get on the next flight. On the way, I prayed so hard that I could
get on the same flight as mom, without having to pay any fine or something.

Anyway, the airline staff said that she'd book me on the same flight as
mom's as well as the next morning's flight since the flights were really
fully booked. And she said that we had to pay S$150. So mom wanted
to pay by credit card, and the lady had to inquire whether she could pay
by credit card and somehow along the line, the person on the other line
said don't charge me though they usually would. (God's grace!)
Then I was asked to come back at 11pm to see if I could board with mom.

Waited for 2 hours, and during that period, wrote on and mailed my
post cards on this post office on wheels! Super cute red car which is a
post office. After 2 hours, went to the counter.

*um, excuse me. i want to..
the lady interrupts: You're Angela Lu waiting to see if you got the
11 50 flight right?
Me: Uh yeah :S
The lady: One person didn't turn up so you can board on the flight now.
Me: Thank you so much (THANK YOU GOD THANK YOU GOD!!)
(God's grace again)

Arrived in Melbourne and somehow my bolster and a box
was apparently left behind in Singapore. After mom filled the forms,
I was just staring at the LONG LONG queue. Already, we had to wait
for like 1/2 hour to see if our baggage was really not around and
then fill up the forms. Now there was the long queue which would
definitely take at least a 1/2 hour wait.

Then suddenly a man approached us to check out our immigration
cards. Mom has some dry stuff which meant she definitely had
to go through one of the check up gates but by God's grace,
the man asked mom what the dry stuff were, mom answered and
he was like (stamping a green stamp on our cards) "okay, just
walk straight out. You don't have to get a bag check up or wait"

Thank you God :)
Just ate lunch. Going out later!
This year's Chinese New Year is truly, different?
Made a new friend on board; Michelle from Vietnam.
Early morning on Chinese New Year, instead of being in Kudat,
I was in the air watching Max Payne and eating supper.
Spent the morning/noon in the airport.
Afternoon- cooking western food. LOL.
Later grocery shopping and dinner with mom's sister.
Hopefully there's Chinese Food!

In a few hours, yours truly will be flying off.
Excited? Maybe.

Bags are almost packed and I'm leaving so many things behind.
Wish I had a 40 kg allowance instead of 30kg :(
Prayfully the stuff I'll be handcarrying, which actually exceeds the 7kg limit,
will be overlooked and allowed. Prayers, prayers, prayers!

God, before I go, I ask that you bless me in everything that I do.
That I will not forget who I am in you, and that I will always strive to
please you and you alone. Help me not to lose my identity but instead,
to strengthen it even more. God, I trust your plans for me.

It's been a tiring yet fruitful day today!
Morning 9-11am played badminton with the usual gang.
It was super good and I missed it so much! Thanks Kev!
Rushed home, packed some more and then went for lunch with Shevon.
My big sister yet ex boss. I will miss her heaps!
Church as usual, went to Dad's office to scan stuff and packed more.

It's Sunday now, so this is belated:

Today? Hectic, super hectic.
I know I should be getting my priorities right,
Packing finishing, and checking again properly.
But well, since I've agreed to meet some peeps :X

Have bought literally everything I think I need.
Can't think of anything else I should be needing.
Really looking forward to a new beginning, a new chapter in life!
But it's gonna be so challenging at the same time.

Perhaps, my perseverance and self control may be challenged to the max.
But whatever it is, I am definately ready for it with God by me.
Since its 12:11 am Saturday,

There are moments when we need to get out of the buzz in life.
To sit alone in the room and just reflect on everything that has happened.
Today was one of those days for me. Think. Reflect. Wonder.
Being a girl full of ambition and wanting to excel in everything,
I've been planning in my mind all that I want to accomplish.

Yet I've neglected to build the plans around God,
And today I realised that very crucial mistake that almost costed me.
God has just been constantly reminding me and I just pray
that I will bear it in mind and not let it slowly be a whisper in my ear.

What a tragedy that men work all day to feed
their bodies and at the same time starve their souls?
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world,

Just came home from a relative's wedding.
"Love was definitely in the air"
as the groom displayed his affections openly to his bride.

I want a super romantic wedding :
My husband who will be such a gentleman and AGH, I dunno!

Awesome friends who will spruce up the event for me and not be like
some of the stoney people today who just sat "deadly" instead of joining
in the fun! I mean SERIOUSLY, It's someone's wedding so show more "life"!
Aha. Andypants you can spruce up stuff cant you? Haha.
Depending on you!

Good music DEFINITELY. and yummy food.
HMM. I want a different type of wedding then the usual.
Still have 9 years more to plan :X

HEY! It's never too late to plan for the future okay!
Start jotting possble stuff that you want to occur during your wedding,
So that when the time of preparation does arrive, you wont be blur,

The fued has ended & as much as it was childish,
I couldn't help but be cold because for once, I was really pissed.

Anyway, made curry pau today with the twins and our dear guru!
Oh, we made kaya too and both were extremely successful.
Don't have any pau pictures since I was lazy to get my camera,
But I must say that the pau's were real GOOD ;D
& I love the baby ones I made. Super super cute.

Been breezing through a few food blogs drooling at delicious food.
One of my 2009 resolutions will be to start having a cookbook!
Will start collecting recipes of yummy food. Oh I do look forward to it.
Well, in the midst of looking around, I suddenly developed a craving for
Tiramisu! So I wanted to make it but I dont have liquor :(
Then dear mummy offered to buy me my tiramisu later. YAY.
I'm definitely taking up her offer. Oh dear :S

My gym inspiration just called: "Did you go gym today?"
Me: "Err.. hehe. no.."
My gym inspiration: "WELL.. Do you wanna go with me now?"
Me: "I've got no car :("
I would have if I had the car. Sigh. Now I feel guilty.
I'm going gym tomorrow morning! YES I AM.

Whoever said sewing was easy sure lied.
IT'S NOT. Okay, maybe it could be, but right now it ain't.
Spent the whole morning tracing, pinning, cutting the cloth and patterns.
To get good qualitied work, you've got to undergo a super tedious process.
Complicated. Too complicated.

And to think I'll be doing it for two years o.O
Oh I do look forward to the day when I can do it well without going through
the tedious process and yet present professional work!

Been rummaging through some stuff and found some great books.
This year hopefully, will be a super productive year.
Have yet to finish my 2009 resolutions, by after pondering a lot yesterday,
I think I may just know what I want to accomplish this year :)
Will post it soon when it's done!

10 more days till Melbourne.
Currently in the midst of packing.
I can't help but say this, that among all the complications present,
I am truly blessed!

The phone rang noisily at an ungodly hour.
I wondered to myself, who could be calling?
Groggily tried to silence my phone but it kept bugging. Wait, alarm clock.
A million reasons immediately swarmed my mind;
Trying to excuse myself from waking up early to go to the gym.

Believe me, so many good reasons popped up.
And yet, I kept fighting to half get up, and to half sleep on.
But I thought, "what would I tell Cass today since I said I'll tell her
if my gym trip was successful or not? ARGGHHHH."
I should have just kept my mouth shut!

Started counting to ten before I said I'll wake up, but then I started dozing off.
Thus, with every single will power in me, I immediately jumped off bed :(
So that I wont procrastinate any longer.

Yes, the gym was completely empty.
No one goes gym at 6am except me. Pathetic me.
But it was cool having the whole gym to myself.
Good workout today I must say. Glad I went, but feeling sleepy now.

My nose is still smelling the disgusting stuff from the fridge.
Yes. My dad & I decided to spring clean the "overflowing with junk" fridge.
Guess what we found? Stuff that expired in year 2004,
Along with other things that I've no idea what it is and has gone BAD.
:S AND TO THINK I HAD TO SNIFF AT ALL THE THINGS JUST
TO TELL MY DAD WHETHER IT'S GOOD OR BAD!

But well, the end result was good. My fridge is no longer overweight!
In fact, it's pretty skinny now; with 4 big bags of junk being thrown away.
The fridge can now store new fresh food and not expired disgusting stuff.

Which reminds me of how like this year is a brand new year.
For all the things that have happened in the previous years,
It's time to throw it all away and not just let it pile up inside and burden us.

The good memories-keep them and treasure them forever.
The bad memories-discard them or they'll stink up your whole life.

For all the junk we have accumulated in our room,
It's time to spring clean, pack and keep what is needed, give away what isn't needed.
(oops. time for me to spring clean then!)
Clean room & give things away-cleaner room and bless others.
Don't clean room & don't give things away-messy room, bad atmosphere!

Anyway, still straightening a lot of things in my life.
I've only managed to plan 1/4 of what I want and need to plan.
I haven't tidied my room :(
I haven't packed :(

Recap for the day!
Woke up groggily to Andrew's call "er, Angela you're still asleep ah?"
OF COURSE I'M STILL ASLEEP. GRR. My precious beauty sleep denied!
Oops. Was late for breakfast with Andrew and Sean but anyway, it went well!

Went for church and oh it was good catching up with Olivia! Will miss her!
Receieved 2 bars of chocolates and a bag of kimchi from her from Korea.
Oh gosh I WANNA GO KOREA DESPERATELY. Dammit I should've gone this year!
I heart Korea. I'm going Korea soon. I AM. And I'm definitely learning Korean!

After church, met up with Penny, Nels and Dom in Carca Sean.
First game we played: Blokus.

Dominic was simply jobless and he just "had to" block my yellow tiles
with his stupid green tiles! Grr. But poor Penny. She had it worse!

Can't remember why I was laughing :X

My nephew trying to help me to fit my last few pieces. Foiled attempt/.

After the dinner, my sister and I caught a train to Clarke Quay
to meet up with my hot cooking stove; Mel, and Theresa!
Okay, that was a poser photo. But anyway, had loadsa fun!
We hopped from one cafe to another; visiting about 4-5 cafe's in total?

We just trudged into the fashion cafe and sat there for a few minutes,
and then we walked out again (without ordering any food or drinks)

On the way back, as we crossed the bridge, we decided GROUP PHOTO!

Anyway, to get home from Clarke Quay was simply horrid!
We had to queue for the taxi for like, 1 hour o.O
By the time we got home, it was 3:30am and I was dead tired.
Konked out immediately!

On the 26th of December, went to Vivo City with some theolo mates!
Didn't want to watch movie, so went shopping with tofu and add heart ;D

New year's eve/new year in Kudat was QUIET.
How did I spent my countdown?
By finishing up my aunt's posters which were incredibly tedious!
It took my sister and I like hours and hours just to finish 8 posters!

Anyway, yesterday night went for farewell dinner in Little Italy!
BYEEE KEVIN :( the buddy whom has been a fellow competitor of mine in studies.
Thanks for letting me disturb you every night just to understand accounts.
Thanks for picking me up to play table tennis and badminton.
Thanks for everything you have done! See you again in 22 days time :P

After the dinner which was super filling, went for supper with church gang.
It's really amazing how we became a gang. I remember when we went for church
camp, then the first night after camp briefing, everyone went to get ready to sleep,
while the 5 of us; Dom, Nels, Penny, Hsiao Wui and I sneaked out of church.
It was weird cause we didnt really know each other. At least, we werent that "close".
We went to watch "Mr & Mrs Smith" and then sneaked back without anyone's notice.
After that night, we got closer and would hang out as a gang during the camp.
From then, it all went well and ever since then, we always meet up when most of
us are back from overseas. It has been 3-4 years I think? Tomorrow, we're going
out again before Penny returns for studies. German Board Game!! ^^

Drove by myself without mummy or daddy's supervision for the first time today!
Picked Deniz up and we had brunch, watched "Four Christmas" (which was cute),
window shopped, then went to college to collect A levels certificate as well as my
award and prize money from the school ;D im richhh. thanks God!

Going for college reunion party/ birthday party of a college friend later.
Mental reminder: buy present for him. buy tiramisu cake for mummy.
ok. been out the whole day. exhausted.
